I attended a lecture/presentation by visiting artist Annette Lawrence and was struck by my peer's question asking for a common theme that would tie all of the work together, and his comments suggesting the artist's latest work was disparate. Ms. Lawrence patiently re-stated her interest in time as one of the common factors in all of her work. That is general enough to cover it I thought.

The greatest common factor in my work is i, as in self, as in the i maginary. I make art about anything that I imagine, and whatever piques my interest. As an artist I am interested, and hope that my intrests result in work that is interesting.

I have never intended to create a lifetime of work that can only be categorized by theme or style, though both of these things may be identifiable. I intend to keep it that way, but only time will tell ;)
